This wooden focal bead paired with watery blue-green shells is like an offering to the Rain Gods. The added bonus here is that our pet hermit crab, Mr.Chicken Lips, is getting a little air time on the web. I couldn’t resist pairing him with this necklace. This is perfect beach wear or summer party accessory. This will be for sale soon!
The abalone shell that dangles from the center is brilliantly colorful and picks up the silver-gray tones in the mother of pearl rectangles that dangle along the necklace strand. Handmade beads of rolled paper in shades of old newspaper and stained tobacco paper alternate along the necklace length. Paper beads are actually from paper I purchased at a fine art store, not used for tobacco. I hand rolled them myself.
These earrings dangle below the jaw line giving plenty of flash and sway as you go about your day. Made with gold toned metal charms and red mother of pearl coins with aurora borealis finish on them. Metal teardrop tags dangle from all points of the charms, the lowest one beneath a small deep red crystal. Part of my personal collection.
