Fine silver is pounded into a paddle shape and then given a hammered texture. I work out a lot of things at my bench. Smiling. Small bits of 99.9% fine silver is torched into a ball and then pounded into a teeny little dish shape. Sunstone bubbles are chosen according to shape and size and placed in these little dishes and torch fired into place. A delicate and tricky process to get the flame so close without over heating the stone and cracking it. Steady hands and no coffee!! Delicate Czech beads in soft peachy shades are woven around the hand forged sterling silver ear wires. All metal is given a patina, burnished back to reveal highlights and then sealed with museum grade micro-crystalline wax.
Measures 1.75″ from top of ear wire to bottom of earring.
