These sweet lily earrings feature shades of pesto and deep reds. The lucite lily is hand painted in layers and then sealed before giving the same treatment to the beadcaps for an original effect. Dangling from beneath the flower are bunches of tumbled garnet and peridot semi-precious gemstones. The stamen is consists of a tri-cut Czech glass bead in Picasso red as well as mother of pearl in pea green and finally small Swarovski bicones in pesto. After making these I actually thought about keeping them I love them so much. But alas, I must share my gifts with the world!

Peridot is a stone of protection that is focused on yourself. It clears your head, removing negative emotions or at least giving them a proper place where they don’t interfere with your life. This is even the case when dealing with very powerful emotions like guilt, anger and jealousy among others.
It can also give you a better understanding of the relationships in your life, again by clearing your thoughts and allowing you to see them in a different light. It makes you able to move past your own ego and deal with the situation at hand. This is the reason it is sometimes called a visionary stone. Even more important it can heal damaged egos and mend emotional wounds and it protects you from unnecessary heartache. A perfect combination for budding romances and struggling relations alike.
Peridot is the birthstone of August, which means it is considered even more powerful for people born in that month. Which is just as well as the birth-sign of most of those born in August is Leo, which means they are wilder and more impulsive than most. Though of course anyone can wear a peridot whether it is your birthstone or not.
