This romantic and rustic Dragonfly bracelet made by Gaia Copia was created by stacking layers and layers of stamped polymer clay and curing, one layer at a time before attaching the next layer. Hand painting gives the materials a unique look. The dragonfly has finishing touches of Swarovski crystals inserted into the clay and little drops of resin along his spine that catch the sunlight like drops of water.
The inspiration for these garden creature bracelets comes from the dragonflies and butterflies that grace our garden during the spring and summer months. I wanted to portray a rustic Renaissance feeling mixed with garden fairey.
The bracelet measures 2.5 inches wide and 2.5 inches across. My wrist is 6 inches around and it fits fine with the copper chain and clasp. The bracelets are slightly open to accomodate a larger wrist or forearm area. It can be bent slightly in either direction but don’t overdo it or you’ll crack it and that would just be silly.
